Unsalted butter (MILK), self-raising flour (GLUTEN), semi skimmed milk (MILK), mature aged cheddar (MILK), free range egg (EGG), chives, cream (MILK), seasoning. Pecorino cheese (MILK), whipping cream (MILK)

Cooking instructions

Microwave on full power for 30 seconds / warm in a fan-assisted oven for 6-8 minutes at 135c. Once warm, turn out of container and place in a heat proof dish. Warm up the accompanying cream in a saucepan, then spoon over the soufflé along with the grated cheese. Place under a hot grill until golden brown, then serve immediately.

Our Double Baked Soufflé Suissesse is a dish for home chefs. An elegant starter made with matured Cheddar cheese, which now comes with a small pot of seasoned cream and grated cheese to pour over.

The Roux Brothers call this a Soufflé Suissesse, and to this day it still features on the menu of The Gavroche.  Lloyd Hardwick, our company director, trained with them, and we were all extremely sad to see that the Gavroche will be closing it’s Mayfair doors in 2024.  With all of this in mind, our Cheese Souffle is a both a heartfelt tribute and legacy.

Serve with Fine Dining Rolls or Seeded Crackers.
