This Wonderful Spirit is England’s fantastic answer to Calvados. Distilled from award winning Cider produced in the Somerset Countryside in a copper still called Josephine that was bought over from Normandy in 1989, the apple eau de vie is then rested and aged in barrels for up to 20 years.
This expression, known as ‘Alchemy‘ captures the magical journey from ripe fresh apples to treasured golden nectar. This brandy has finesse and character in spades and is mellow, smooth and long on the palate.
Served as a digestif or alongside a Tarte Tatin this would make the perfect close to a meal with the crisp flavour of apple refreshing the palate and the warm richness of the brandy bringing things to a satisfying conclusion.
