Meet our supplier – Api:Cultural

At Forman & Field, we pride ourselves on showcasing not only the finest produce but also the incredible stories behind our products. One such story comes from our Olympic Park Honey, produced just 200 meters from our factory in the heart of East London. This delicate, floral honey is more than just a sweet spread; it represents a deep-rooted commitment to sustainability, local produce, and community conservation.

From the Hive to Your Home

Our Olympic Park Honey is raw, natural honey harvested from bees residing in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, under the watchful eye of our neighbours, the Olympic Stadium. The result is a beautifully fragrant and flavorful honey, capturing the essence of the wildflowers and greenery of the park.

By preserving honey in its purest form, they ensure that you’re not only enjoying incredible flavour but also supporting a product that stays true to ethical, sustainable food production. It’s harvested without any heat treatments or additives, so it retains all the vitamins, antioxidants, and natural enzymes that are often lost in commercial production.

A Commitment to Conservation

Our honey supplier, API, goes beyond producing quality honey. Their mission is deeply rooted in wild pollination conservation, ensuring that bees thrive in their natural habitats. They work to educate our local community— from schoolchildren to businesses— about the importance of pollinators in maintaining a balanced ecosystem.

A vital part of API’s process includes sustainable hive management. By ensuring that hives are not overcrowded and spread across suitable areas, they help businesses in the Olympic Park and surrounding regions manage bees responsibly. This delicate balance prevents overpopulation, which could stress local ecosystems, and fosters a healthier environment for bees and the plants they pollinate

Ethical Honey Harvesting

API’s approach to honey production is based on sustainability and bee welfare, rather than maximizing profits. They only collect surplus honey from the most productive hives, leaving plenty for the bees to feed themselves throughout the year. This ensures that the bees always have access to the most nutritionally balanced food available— their own honey. It’s an approach that prioritizes the health of the bees, ensuring they remain well-fed and resilient throughout the seasons.

Our commitment to showcasing local produce

We’re proud to supply API Olympic Park Honey and offer their delicious honey to our customers. This honey doesn’t just taste incredible; it represents a commitment to protecting natural ecosystems and supporting the hard work of local producers.
