SELDOM SEEN NORFOLK BRONZE TURKEY – ONLY AVAILABLE AT CHRISTMAS
The Norfolk Bronze is a plump-breasted traditional breed that grows slowly for what Claire Symington of Seldom Seen Farm describes as “deep, resonating flavour”. Like Seldom Seen geese, the turkeys are allow to roam free and nibble happily on grubs in between feasting royally on Claire’s farm-grown corn. Dry plucked by hand for crispy skin. Outstanding.
PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE NO FROZEN TURKEYS CURRENTLY. Our fresh turkeys will be dispatched from around the 18th December (as soon as they’re ready!)
If you’re looking for something in the meantime we would highly recommend our ballotine of turkey – all the flavour none of the fuss!
Preheat oven to 180C. Cook for 35-40 mins per kilo plus an additional 20 mins. Allow the bird to rest by covering in tin foil for 20 minutes.
Any juices that escape the bird should be poured into the gravy. Serve with our Pommes Chateaux and Brussel Sprouts.
