We make our taramasalata with Grade A cod’s roe, which we smoke ourselves. We combine it with mascarpone, garlic, yoghurt, lemon juice and seasoning for the perfect balance of flavour. We’re proud to say that our taramasalata won handsomely in a blind taste test, with the Financial Times describing it as “authentic”, “smooth” and having an “excellent taverna flavour”.
You might notice it looks quite different to the one you’ll find in supermarkets. That’s because we don’t add any artificial colouring, so it’s pale, not bright in colour.
