Two gorgeous, Grade One Scottish fresh salmon steaks – or salmon darnes, as they are often known. Our salmon arrives fresh from Scotland every single day, and has never been more than 48 hours out of water – you just can’t find fresher fish!
A simple yet fantastic cut of salmon, ready to bake, grill or fry in a little butter.

Grade One Scottish Salmon
Season the salmon steaks on both sides with salt and pepper. In a large pan over medium-high heat, heat 1tbsp olive oil and 1tbsp butter. Add the salmon steaks and cook until the bottom side is golden and slightly crisp, about 5 minutes, then flip it over. Here, you could add some of our miso marinade, another sauce of your choice, or even some garlic, lemon juice, honey, and chilli flakes. Cook until salmon is cooked through, around another 5 minutes, spooning sauce over salmon as it cooks.
