Our fatty smoked salmon is the freshest around.

All salmon have lean and fatty flesh. The closer you get to the skin, the fattier it becomes. Some people prefer fatty, some prefer lean. In fact, when we surveyed over 2000 customers about their preference, the result was a near even 49:51 split. Think of it like chicken breast or leg; there is no right or wrong.

Back when you’d visit your local deli to purchase smoked salmon, you’d be asked if you wanted “dry”, lean slices from the top, or “oily”, fatty slices from the bottom. We think it’s important that you receive exactly what you’re looking for, which is why H. Forman & Son is now the only smoked salmon producer that offers its customers the option to choose between lean-only or fatty-only packs.

Fatty smoked salmon has hardly any saltiness or smokiness, which allows you to fully appreciate the freshness of the salmon. The texture is slightly more oily, and quite simply melts in the mouth.
