    • Wow these are good. The Scottish equivalent of dauphinoise but even richer and more delicious! We make ours with sliced potatoes and onions slowly cooked in duck fat for a couple of hours before being sprinkled with thyme. Serve alongside your haggis.

    • Transfer to an dish suitable for oven baking and roast for 20 minutes at 180'C or until hot throughout and crisp on top.

      I had to put the huge and expensive Chocolate Angel Torte in the bin - horrible.

      The Cheshire cheese is the best I have ever tasted, and most of the rest was excellent.

      The meat in the Pork en Croute was good, but the pastry was soggy and the filling sickly.

      Virtually the same as for the Cranachan, the Stovies were excellent but I subsequently made them just as good. One thing I did was to separate the leaves from the woody Thyme stem, a bit too rustic for me to have to be picking bits of woody stem from my mouth
