Right across the canal from our restaurant is the Olympic Park

Our restaurant has splendid views of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, where you can watch the exciting beginning and final leg of Morrison’s Great Newham London Run 10K this weekend.

There are a host of events happening at the Olympic Park in July and August, gearing up for this year’s Rugby World Cup  in September. Visit our restaurant in the evening for one of the best views of the stadium, or take a look at some of the selections we made for the perfect Forman & Field delicacies to try during these events.

Morrison’s Great Newham London Run  –19 July

Participants in this 10K run will head through the Olympic Park before finishing at the stadium. Cheer on family and friends as they cross the same finish line that Usain Bolt and Jessica Ennis-Hill once did, or eat and enjoy the scene from our restaurant. Entrants receive two spectator passes to the stadium, but anyone can enter the Olympic park.

Try: Sunday Lunch – Enjoy a three course meal whilst looking out upon the race in our restaurant. Try a starter of London cured smoked Scottish salmon with warm potato blinis. For your main fish dish, dine on smoked haddock fishcake with poached egg and chive butter or try a meat option and enjoy ballotine of barn reared chicken air-dried ham & sage jus. Round off a delicious meal with upside-down caramel apple pie with creme anglaise.

Beach East at the Park  – Open until 31 August, 10am-10pm

Is that Bondi beach you see? Almost! The UK’s largest urban beach is currently beside the Olympic Park on Stratford Waterfront. Grab a Forman’s hamper and relax with your family on over one thousand tons of sand. The beach features thrilling rides, cool beach bars, and sporting events, so there is something fun for everyone. Entry is free.

Try: Purist Pick Hamper – Perfect for a sunny day picnic on the beach, this hamper includes home made flamiches, roasted baby potato salad, and a glass of Pimm’s.

Paralympic Day featuring Mayor of London’s Liberty Festival – 26 July

Cheer on ParalympicsGb medalists in the water and on the court as they compete or try out the disability and inclusive sports while participating in some of the free activities across the park. Enjoy the talents of the deaf and disabled whilst browsing their art and creative works at the Liberty Festival.

Try: Traditional Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Bagel– Boris Johnson himself has claimed that there is “nothing better than a Forman’s
