Written by , Posted in News, Seasonal

Saturday 27th February we hosted another of our annual open days here at Fish Island, and (if we do say so ourselves) it was such a great day! Around 700 of you came along and made the day so enjoyable. We had so much going on and something for everyone; from competitions and tasters, to tours and carving demonstrations!

Smokehouse Tour Group

This year we launched our Smokehouse Tours to all our customers. Now everyone has the chance to experience what so many corporate groups before them have; to dive into the world of Formans!

Their day started off with a 30 minute talk on the history of H. Forman & Son (going back over 100 years!) led by our king of Smoked Salmon, Lance Forman .  Following on from this, guests were kitted up in factory clothing, looking gorgeous of course, and made their way to the factory floor for a carving demonstration by our very own Guinness World Record Holder, Darren Matson. Move to the Beat – Filmed at Forman's Fish Island

Written by , Posted in News, Videos

For a few days last autumn our Fish Island yard became the furthest outpost of a huge Coca Cola TV ad production shoot for their London 2012 campaign. The centrepiece of ‘Move to the Beat’ is a track composed by dance music producer Mark Ronson using samples from the sounds of the sports of 5 Olympic hopefuls.

They shipped in a pint-sized (Coke-can-sized?) Glastonbury festival of staging, props, sound and lighting and filled it with a rentacrowd of a thousand local revellers. It was really quite something. Read more...
