Romantic Meal For Two?

Ahhh February 14th, the most romantic date on the calendar. Are you planning a meal for two but can’t quite decide on what to serve, Forman & Field can help…


 

If you’re looking for a starter that’s both special and just a tad classy you can’t go wrong with our Paupiettes. Having been served at Buckingham Palace at the Coronation celebrations back in 2013 we can say they’ve got Royal Approval! Pictured below is our Crab & Lobster Paupiette, however we also make Hot-Smoked Wild Salmon Mousse Paupeittes which are perfect for anyone who doesn’t eat shellfish. Both come in packs of 2 so they’re perfect for sharing.

For a main course, Beef Wellington is a classic. Grass fed 32-day aged Aberdeen Angus beef is wrapped in Savoy cabbage and chopped chestnut mushrooms, and encased in a light puff pastry. You just have to bake and serve -Less time cooking means more time spent with your loved one! – We offer this in 1 large portion, or x2 smaller individual portions. (Product is dispatched frozen, ensure defrosted fully before cooking) We suggest to serve with Forman’s Horseradish and Chive Mash, Spiced Red Cabbage and our Red Wine Jus.

If you fancy something different to the Beef Wellington, why not go for one of our latest products? You’ve seen our Lobster Thermidor, now let us introduce our Dressed Lobster. Presented in 2 halves, we boil a whole lobster in our kitchen, let it cool, then pick the tail meat and mix with elery, celeriac, pine nuts, mustard, fresh mayonnaise, parsley and lemon juice. The mixture is then put back into the shell, and voila! Dinner is served. 2 halves serves 2 people.

On the theme of new products, lets move on to sweeter stuff! Pictured are our new and improved Valrhona Chocolate Salted Caramel Pots which have been tried and tested in the office – well someone’s gotta do it! This after-dinner treat is made with a Valrhona chocolate cookie crumb base and a salted caramel parfait core topped with peanut brittle. Presented in re-usable Weck jars, they just look so tempting. Each 100g pot serves 1 person.

Pudding is meant for sharing, but sometimes it’s nice to have your own portion. That’s why x2 individual Tarte Tartins are an ideal choice! A french classic made in our kitchen with soft, juicy English apples and handmade puff pastry. You can eat it hot or cold but we suggest serving hot with a good helping of ice cream or pouring cream.

Now you probably want something to wash all this delicious food down with, and a good bottle of English Wine is the perfect accompaniment. This Fine English Wine Selection proves that we can compete with the rest of the world when it comes to wine production. All bottles in our  Half Case of Wine are available individually (we don’t expect you to get through them all!) and are as follows: Hush Heath Manor Pinot Noir 2015,  Bidden den Ortega 2014,  Bolney Rosé 2014,  Hush Heath Balfour Brut Rosé 2011,  Bolney Cuvée Noir 2010,  Ambriel English Reserve.
