Did you say ‘Party’?
Whether you’re having a party for Halloween, Bonfire Night, or just because you can, Forman & Field have got you covered. Following the launch of our new catalogue for 2015/2016 we’ve taken a little look at our latest additions and chosen the ones that scream ‘Party Food!’. Once you’ve taken a look at these, you won’t be going back to those frozen packs again!
You may be familiar with our Alaskan Black Cod In Miso, a delicacy we supply to many world class establishments and countless customers. Now, you can buy this fish in bite size! Chunks of marinated black cod; all you have to do at home is heat the skewers in the oven at 200deg for 5 minutes, enough to caramelize the fish, and then serve with the miso sauce included. Very easy, and very memorable party food.
Our incredibly popular Fishcakes are handmade by our chefs with prime cuts of fish and coated in panko breadcrumbs which are guaranteed to crisp beautifully in the oven. Now in this frankly adorable cocktail size they are perfect finger food at parties. We actually serve
them at Fish Island whenever we’re entertaining, and they always go down a storm. There are 16 in total in the following 4 varieties: Lobster & Salmon, Smoked Haddock & Parsley, Hot Smoked Salmon, and Spicy Thai Crab. They’re already cooked, just reheat in the oven at home so they crisp up!
This is what we’d call ‘the centrepiece’ of the party food. We’ve created a selection of the different ways we prepare Scottish salmon here at the H Forman and Son Smokehouse. We’ve included slices of our London Cure Grade One Smoked Scottish Salmon, Genuine Wild Smoked Scottish Salmon, Royal Fillet Smoked Scottish Salmon, Beetroot Gravadlax, Wasabi & Ginger
Gravadlax and Gin & Tonic Gravadlax. There are 4 slices of each variety. Also included is 100g of our Kiln-roasted Salmon (smoked and cooked). Superb? Definitely. Centrepiece worthy? We think so!
Need something to wind down at the end of the night? This Mead is smooth and sumptuous, with sweet honey flavours and a clean finish. Mead is believed to be one of the world’s oldest alcoholic beverages in the world, and guess what? It’s having a revival! This particular mead is made by our friends Lyme Bay Winery, based in Devon. We can picture it now; the party is drawing to a close, the children have worn themselves out, and you and your friends are relaxing with a glass in your hand. Great company does need great food & drink!
