The FT taste test on this product was right. It is the best taramasalata that I have tasted. It is clearly prepared with very fresh produce and regard for the integrity of the taste of each ingredient.

After the rave review in the Guardian Magazine, I have been very disappointed, far too salty to the extent that the product has no taste of the main raw material.

excellent and trouble free
Clear taste of the smoked roe, but a little 'light' compared to authentic Greek homemade (ie without dye). I was taught that a 'sauce' of mashed potato, garlic and LOTS of oilive oil, so a sort of mayo, should be used to carry the Smoked MULLET roe. Not sure there's enough for 3-5 - maybe two?
