Its densely textured meat is beautifully moist and full of flavour because it is raised slowly on locally grown cereals and vegetable protein, a diet that is additive, drugs, growth promoter and GM free. The Kelly family allow their turkeys to roam freely in pastures, stubble fields and woodlands and at night have the shelter of open-sided pole barns with deep straw and plenty of fresh air.
