Don’t miss Formans Restaurant on Celebrity Masterchef on BBC 2 this Thursday the 12th August.
Lord Sebastian Coe hosts a ‘Best of British’ dinner at our restaurant with the four semi finalists cooking for Olympic heroes Lord Coe, Dame Kelly Holmes and Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson. Our own Forman & Field Executive Chef Lloyd Hardwick was on hand to offer sage advice and support throughout.

On Sunday 1st August artist Isobel Manning ran The Drawing Olympics for children aged 4 to 14 years at Forman’s Smokehouse Gallery as part of the Hackney Wicked Art Festival 2010.
Young people were invited to come and work in the gallery space and make drawings of the Olympic Stadium on special wooden artist’s tiles. All of the drawings were entered into a competition which was judged by Isobel and Mr Lance Forman himself.
It was almost impossible to judge, as there really were so many fantastic drawings. In the end Gold, Silver and Bronze prizes were awarded to Tom Fior age 10, Reuben Brierley-Moyes age 8 and Maxine Dannatt age 12. Vouchers for Atlantis art supplies were given to the winners and the chosen drawings will be exhibited in Formans restaurant on Fish Island very soon.
The event was kindly sponsored by E. Abrahams & Co Ltd who provided the wooden tiles and the prizes.
Many thanks go to Lance Forman, William Chamberlain and Marc Ben-Nathan who made this wonderful event possible.

Here’s a nice piece from BBC News last week about the development of the Olympic stadium featuring an interview with Lance Forman and some great footage of our salmon splitters in action as well as our new roof garden. Skip to around 1 minute 40 secs if you just want to see our section.
It’s dedicated to eating in our manor and is packed with reviews of restaurants and events, profiles of producers and mouthwatering photography. We bumped into the team and last weekend’s Hackney Wicked festival, here’s their snap of our beetroot cured salmon tartare shots.
