H. Forman & Son are founder associate members of the Academy of Culinary Arts, a professional association of Chefs, Restaurateurs and Food Producers that does a lot of good work in the UK raising food standards and awareness of good food. HRH The Prince of Wales is the patron and joined Lance Forman and some of the country’s finest Chefs in celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the academy’s Chefs Adopt a School programme.

The Chefs Adopt a School project, which began in 1990 teaches school children all about food, food provenance and cookery through taste sessions delivered by Academicians. Chefs Adopt a School has the potential to influence a new generation of food lovers and home cooks, which is where the impact of understanding food and its origins is aimed, and where the importance of nutrition, health and cooking is strongest.
At Formans we regularly host school parties from the local area and around the country, teaching them about our smoked salmon of course but also about good food in general, regeneration and of course more recently the impact of the Olympics.

If you’ve left that romantic Valentine’s surprise until the last minute (again!), why not book a tete a tete at Forman’s Restaurant this weekend. We’re now fully booked for lunch on Sunday but have a little availability on Saturday night for those who want to start the amorous celebrations a little early.
Call 0208 5252 365 during office hours, or email info@formans.co.uk for reservations.
p.s. for those who want to start the love-fest even earlier, or simply those who enjoy a delicious breakfast there’s always Saturday brunch, too.

Monday the 8th February will mark 900 days to go until the opening ceremony for London 2012.The question on everyone’s lips is whether Boris the Builder can finish the job on time.
We might just have the answer. Since June 2008 we have taken a photo of the stadium site each day from our Fish Eye View webcam and today release a timelapse video of the story so far…
Forman’s opinion on the matter at this delicate stage is, “Yes they can!”
Make up your own mind by watching live footage of the stadium right now and zooming in to see what the builders are up to by clicking here: www.formanandfield.com/fisheyeview
