Biddenden Vinyeards, producers of the fabulous Ortega white wine we have been offering in the last couple of months recently celebrated their 40th anniversary.

To add to the festivities, their new 2008 vintage won two coveted awards in the English and Welsh Wine of the Year competition – ‘Best Wine of the Previous Vintage‘ and ‘Best Large production Unchaptalised Still Wine‘. Unchaptalised means that no sugar is added to bolster the alcohol content and makes for a purer flavour.

We’ll be offering the 2008 vintage when it becomes available but in the meantime we have a limited stock of the fabulous 2007 ready to order now. It’s been our most popular wine at our restaurant in the last month and definitely worth a try.
