Thames Hospicecare Charity Auction

As part of our involvement with the Guards Polo Club where we are offering our complete picnics this summer we donated a prize for a local charity to them, Thames Hospicecare. We were really touched to receive the following thank you.

“Thank you very much for supporting Thames Hospicecare by donating such a fantastic auction prize, of a luxury hamper for 2 to combine with the donated tickets to the Guards Polo.

On the night of our Ball, combined with the polo tickets, the prize fetched an impressive £150, which is enough money for us to be able to provide 15 hours of nursing care and support to local patients and their families.

As you know, Thames Hospicecare is an independent charity and the care and the services we offer to local families affected by cancer and other life-limiting illness are provided free of charge. To be able to offer these services we have to raise a lot of money each year. It is only possible to make an event like this a financial success by such willing and generous support from people like yourself, providing such great auction prizes to us. For this, we are very grateful.

In total, our profit on the night currently stands at a massive £9,822 with more expected to come in. This is enough money to provide 655 hours of nursing care to those who need it locally, which is fantastic.

Thank you for being a part of this.

With all best wishes,

Thames Hospicecare”
